Voya Seaweed Baths is a traditional seaweed bath business which also offers treatments using Voya Beauty products. They have a strong emphasis on ensuring environmental sustainability. Their mission is to share with customers the full therapeutic power of nature in its purest form through their offering of seaweed baths and complimentary therapies. After many successful years in business VSB had decided that it was time for a full rebrand that would better reflect their brand position and services.
Our task was to translate both their values and their journey into visual content, for online and print use. We needed to strategically align their brand identity visuals to create an online extension of their brick and mortar business. How could we best communicate their story with the local people and intrepid travellers exploring the Wild Atlantic Way? What information would be of the greatest value to them? The answer we developed was a collection of photographs and business storytelling videos, that celebrated that vision and the journey that VSB seaweed has made every-time a steaming seaweed bath is poured for one of their guests.
Business Storytelling Videos
Each piece of new brand identity content tells it’s own short story. These can be used independently or as a collection, our photographs and videos weave together the history and values of the Voya Seaweed Baths business to create a complete narrative.
To put together a full re-brand like VSB planned, required co-ordination between all teams including their graphic designer and website developers. At the outset of this project, we had a clear objective and structure to the content that we needed to create. This allowed us to stay flexible and work in a modular approach for the creation of the full project.
Challenges such as outdoor shooting being weather dependent were overcome with this framework. This helped us to hit our target date with all the visual content in place for the launch of the new website and print materials.
An initial planning and strategy session to outline the brand’s identity and goals, served as our anchor for the direction of our video creation. We worked with five scripts and mapped out sequences for the five corresponding videos, which would tell the story of the business and VSB’s values in bite size pieces to make them more accessible for the viewer.
During the video production process we used the power of the latest technology and software to stay agile, as scripts were amended, so the visual content could be moved to sync smoothly and quickly.
